Hiking Trip to Havasupai Tribal Reservation- October 2018

Fantastic hike to the Havasupai Tribal Reservation. The remoteness of the tribe makes the trek down into the canyon and back up again not for the faint of heart. Interestingly enough, the United States Postal Service office in Supai transports all mail in and out of the canyon by mule train. Everybody else must make the approximately 10-mile trek (each way) in and out of the village either by foot, or helicopter. School-aged children in grades k-8 attend school down in the canyon. (Check out the tribal website below; I highly recommend the hike and a few days of camping and visiting the falls and local trails.) http://theofficialhavasupaitribe.com/
